About Me

Elizabeth Stokkebye is a writer and an artist whose thoughts and sensibilities need a place for airing - she lives and works in the Bay Area. Her heritage is Scandinavian, and she holds a BA from UC Berkeley in Scandinavian Studies and a MA from University of Washington in Scandinavian Languages and Literature.
She received her formal art education at Monterey Peninsula College, from where she has an AA in Studio Art. She also studied oil painting at UC Berkeley. Currently, she is working as a Lecturer at UC Berkeley, where she teaches reading and composition. Her artistic focus is identity and therefore, she is drawn to visual and literary figures.
